I

built

a business

before I

built

this one.

Before Mann & Machine, I spent nearly a decade building and scaling Boho Camper Vans from an idea into an eight-figure company. I wasn't advising founders from the sidelines—I was carrying quota, making payroll, hiring teams, fixing operations, and learning what actually moves a business forward. That's the experience behind every recommendation I make today.

THE STORY

The business that taught me everything.

Boho Camper Vans started after my wife and I rented a camper van in Hawaii. We came home convinced we could build something better, so we did.

What followed was eight years of building a business from the ground up. We designed and sold more than 300 custom camper vans, built a nationwide rental fleet, appeared on Shark Tank, grew an audience of more than 100,000 people, and generated over $18 million in sales.

Along the way, I learned that growth rarely comes from one big idea. It comes from hundreds of small decisions made across marketing, sales, operations, hiring, customer experience, and everything in between.

The best business lessons didn't come from building camper vans. They came from building the business behind them.

WHAT I BELIEVE

A few things experience taught me.

Trust beats attention.

Shark Tank taught me that attention is temporary. Trust is what actually gets expensive deals across the finish line.

Everything is connected.

Marketing, sales, operations, hiring, and customer experience aren't separate departments. They're one system, and they should be treated that way.

Simple scales.

The best businesses aren't built on clever ideas. They're built on clear positioning, repeatable systems, and consistent execution.

WHY MANN & MACHINE

You'll work directly with me.

David Sodemann

Owner

If we work together, you'll work directly with me. No account managers, no handoffs—just honest advice, clear strategy, and someone who's been in your shoes.

Let's see if we're a good fit.

Not every business needs what I do, and that's okay. If I think I can help, I'll tell you. If I don't, I'll point you in the right direction.
